Routes

Rockdrop provides an efficient, friendly and reliable 24-hour service, and virtually all our airport transfers routes take you through the beautiful Tarantaise Valley into the heart of the French Alps.

We predominantly cover Esapce Killy (Val d’Isere & Tignes) plus Sainte Foy & La Rosiere, Paradiski (Les Arcs, Peisey, La Plagne, Montchavin & Les Coches), 3 Valleys (Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens & Les Menuires).

Our drivers will meet you in the arrivals hall (holding a Rockdrop board with your name on it), take you to your vehicle, and drive you directly to the door of your accommodation in resort.

As well as airport transfers, Rockdrop also provide resort transfers to/from many train stations, including Geneva, Lyon, Bourg St Maurice, Aime and Moutiers.

During the French holidays and at weekends, journey times can be made significantly longer by the volume of traffic heading to and from the ski resorts.

Geneva (GVA)

Lying on the border of France and Switzerland, this is the most popular airport, so can be busy at the weekends. Lots of airlines operate via Geneva, so it’s a good idea to book your transfer as early as possible, to avoid missing out (particularly if you are travelling during the peak weeks of the season).

This is the most spectacular journey, scenery-wise, our route running alongside the beautiful Lake Annecy, before the mountains of the Tarantaise valley come into sight.

Having collected your luggage, make your way in to the Arrivals Hall, turn left, and your driver will be waiting for you, holding a Rockdrop sign with your name on it.

Lyon St Exupery (LYS)

Lyon airport lies 15km east of the city, as the crow flies. Although this airport is the furthest away from the resorts, our route is mostly via motorway, which makes for faster transfer times in quiet weeks. However, these times can be made significantly longer in February and peak weeks, when heavy traffic can add approximately 2 hours to the journey.

Grenoble (GNB)

Grenoble is a small airport, situated outside the city in between Grenoble and Lyon, and can be a quieter alternative to the larger airports. This journey relies on the same motorway system as Lyon Airport, and is a similar distance to the resorts.

Chambery (CMF)

Chambery airport is similar in size to Grenoble, and is situated right on the banks of Lac Bourget, to the North of the city. It is the closest airport to the ski resorts of the Tarantaise.

A lot of flights from the North of England fly into Chambery, but it is only fully operational at weekends in the winter season.
