Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

  • To secure a transfer, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Payments can be made via our website with a card, or via bank transfer to our French account.
  • All payments are secure, and card details will not be kept after our contract with the customer is complete.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the date of travel, this includes an administration fee and also charges. Any cancellations closer to this time will receive no refund.  A cancelled transfer by Rockdrop will receive a full refund.
  • The confirmation email is your ticket. Please print this and bring it with you when you travel.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to check that all the information on the booking confirmation is correct. Any changes to the details on the ticket will incur a €20 administration charge.
  • Where 2 or more people are included on the same booking, the person purchasing the transfer(s) will accept these booking conditions, and act as an agent for all members of the party.
  • Rockdrop accepts no responsibility for incorrect information given by the customer that results in either a flight being missed or a driver failing to be at the arrival airport in question, to pick up customers.
  • In the event of a delayed flight, it is up to the customer to keep us informed on the situation. It is not always possible for our driver to wait for a delayed flight, because of other commitments. We will endeavour to meet your new travel requirements, which may be at an extra cost you. If the driver has to wait for more than 60 minutes for a customer, then a waiting charge of €40 per hour will be charged to cover additional costs.
  • In the situation that a customer is not at a specified meeting point at the arranged time (excluding flight arrivals), the driver will wait for a maximum of 5 minutes (shared transfers), and a maximum of 10 minutes (private transfers). After this time, the customer will be presumed a no-show, and Rockdrop will offer no refund for the transfer.
  • Rockdrop will not accept any liability in the event of any delay and/or cost incurred by the customer due to circumstances out of our control.

Examples:

Adverse weather conditions or Natural Disasters. Unforeseen traffic accidents and delays. Vehicle breakdowns. Road Closures. Problems caused by other passengers. Industrial action by third parties. Vandalism, Riots or Terrorism. Force Majeure Event. The vehicle being held or delayed by a Police Officer or Government Official.

  • Rockdrop reserves the right (and delegates to its employees the right) to refuse to carry any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behaviour is considered to pose a threat to the driver, the vehicle or the other passengers. Any passenger using threating and/or abusive language or behaviour to a driver or another passenger will be asked to leave the vehicle immediately, regardless of its location, or time of day or night.
  • Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. They may travel with a pre-booked parent, or elected guardian. The conduct and behaviour of any passenger under the age of 18 is the responsibility of accompanying adults where available.
  • We will provide appropriate child seats free of charge, as long as they are specified at the time of booking. For children up to 19kg, we suggest you request a Baby Seat, and for children over 19kg, a Child Seat. (The law states that children must use an appropriate child seat until they reach 12 years of age, or a height of 135cm.) We cannot legally transport a child without the correct seating.
  • All luggage must be clearly labelled with the owner’s name and destination address. Customers are limited to two items of luggage (one usual holiday luggage bag, and an item of hand luggage), plus a ski or snowboard bag. Ski and snowboard bags should be declared at the time of booking in order to assist Rockdrop with the provision of adequate luggage space. Any luggage in excess of the above must also be declared at the time of booking. In the event of a client failing to declare excess baggage, our drivers reserve the right to refuse to transfer the items, or charge for their carriage.
  • Customer’s property and baggage is carried in our vehicles at the owner’s risk. Whilst every care is taken in the safe delivery of luggage, customers are advised to check their own travel insurance for details regarding loss or damage.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to have a valid address, or directions with them, to their accommodation once in resort. In the case that neither the driver nor the customer know the exact location of the accommodation, the driver will attempt to locate it for a period not exceeding 10 minutes. After that, he/she will have no choice but to leave the customers at the resort’s tourist office (whether it is open or closed).
  • Passengers are not permitted, by law, to consume alcoholic beverages in our vehicles.
  • We like to keep our Rockdrop vans in the best possible condition. Therefore smoking, and/or the consumption of food is not permitted in our vehicles.
  • Any passenger who soils or damages the interior of the vehicle will be liable to pay a minimum €150 cleaning charge, payable directly to the driver. If the passenger refuses to pay, the amount will be taken from the credit card that was used to make the booking.
  • Where Rockdrop book for travel on services provided by operators other than us, we do so as agents for the operator concerned, whose own conditions of carriage apply. Our liability will be confined to travel on our own services.
  • A customer requesting to leave later than the recommended time provided by us, does so entirely at their own risk. We will not be held accountable for a missed flight as a result of this decision.
  • Where requested transfers require a driver to work between midnight and 6am there will be a €40 surcharge.
  • Rockdrop shall only be liable for any reasonable and foreseeable consequential losses arising directly out of a breach in contract. Nothing can affect the consumers’ statutory rights. Rockdrop’s Terms and conditions are governed by French Law. Any dispute between Rockdrop and a third party, if not resolved by mutual agreement shall be referred to a mediator. However, if mediation is unsuccessful, then the matter of the dispute will be referred to a formal litigation process through the French courts.
